News & Reports: The Final of Program Contest 2006 Sponsored by Trend Micro Incorporated

trendmicroThe final of Program Contest 2006 sponsored by Trend Micro Incorporated will start in July 27 after 10 teams from 8 top universities and institutions won the first round contest held in March 1. Rewards for the final winners are 1 million RMB and internships in R&D Center of Trend Micro Incorporated in China.

This contest attracted 350 teams composed by 1750 excellent student programmers from universities throughout China. Tsinghua University that was the cradle of the champion of Program Contest 2004 sent 19 teams for this contest. Huazhong University of Science and Technology even organized 42 teams. FINAO, a first-round winner team from Nanjing University as a black horse competed out with traditional winner teams from Tsinghua University, South China University of Technology, and etc.

The first Annual Program Contest started in 2002, initiated and sponsored by Trend Micro Incorporated in order to seek for potential talented researcher or developers in information security field.

Trend Micro Incorporated is a global leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services. Founded in 1988 by Steve Chang, the company entered into China in 2001.
